We had a control board burn out from the storms. When we called Chrismon, they came out the same day to diagnose the problem. They had the part overnighted, and they offered us a portable A/C unit. The only reason this is not 5 stars is that the wrong part was shipped the first time (don't know where the fault lies and it doesn't really matter). Chrismon's responsiveness was excellent. We had to wait another couple of days. Without hesitation, I would definitely call Chrismon if we have another problem.

I started out thinking I needed a service call—very noisy fan—it just sounded like it was about to die. This unit was on its last leg—more wrong with it than just the fan, and throwing a few hundred dollars at it to get it running just didn't make sense as this unit was 12 or so years old. The Chrismon techs that looked at my system gave me an honest assessment, and also the pros and cons of keeping what I had vs. replacing it. I decided to go for a replacement and that came with an upgrade in performance to both the gas furnace and a better SEER rating for the AC portion. In addition, Chrismon filled out the paperwork for me to submit, and I ended up getting a rebate check from Piedmont Natural Gas for $225, and a $325 Pre-paid Mastercard from Duke Energy, for upgrading my system before it broke down. Less of a rebate if you have to replace a 'no longer working' system. They want their customers to upgrade to get a more efficient system installed, so a larger rebate. Also, Chrismon was on Duke's and PNG's approved installers list to qualify for the rebate. On the day of installation, their crew arrived on time, they were polite and courteous, and soon thereafter, my new system was up and running. They tested the system thoroughly before leaving. I would use Chrismon again without hesitation. Years and years of experience and competent techs. Stephanie at their main office was always available to answer questions; in fact, she was the one that put together the paperwork I needed to apply for the PNG and Duke rebates. It is refreshing to call for assistance and not get an answering machine.

Everyone at Chrismon's, from technicians to office staff, were so helpful, knowledgeable, and polite, that I was immediately comfortable. My air conditioner broke down right before this terrible heat wave at the end of June. I've been enjoying my new system for days now. It is amazing! So cool and quiet. I got other estimates, but no one told me that in my case, both systems needed to go, and why. And yet, Aaron's estimate came in either at or under all others for just the air conditioner. We set a date, they showed up just a few days later, and it was all done in one day. They even put a portable air conditioner in my bedroom for the couple of days I had to wait. The technicians were even a pleasure to have around all day, and they were gone by 4:45. I'm truly blown away by the service, and look forward to working with them in the future. It's a no-brainer.
